Maurice Parisien is founder and principal of Opus #1, LLC. Maurice is senior marketing strategist with over 30 years of consultative and management experiences in marketing and communications with both small and large corporations.
Maurice began his marketing career with 14 years in sales and brand management with Nestlé-Purina PetCare Company, Inc., formerly Ralston Purina Co. Accomplishments while at Purina included the expanded marketing and distribution of the company’s dog and cat food line of products in over 10,000 non-grocery outlets.
In the early 90's, Maurice shifted his focus to the discipline of database marketing. For 6 years he successfully grew a consulting practice for Maritz Inc. as VP of Consulting and Management services for the Database Marketing Division. He and his team of consultants successfully engaged in client project work with numerous Fortune 100/500 companies in the industries of automotive, financial services, high-tech and telecommunications.
An experienced marketing executive, Maurice has successfully served his employers and clients by providing pragmatic strategic thought that focuses on the needs of the customer and the enterprise resulting in improved top-line and bottom-line results. An effective speaker and lecturer, Maurice has presented his theory of customer relationship development (CRD) to both academic and practicing database marketers. He is presently president of the Direct Marketing Association of St. Louis.
